Miranda, a recent Portland transplant, was previously an active horn player and teacher throughout the Los Angeles area.
She earned her Masters in Music at the University of Southern California while building
her freelance and teaching network on the side.
Miranda has performed in various groups in Los Angeles including the Con Gioia Chamber Orchestra on natural horn, Center Stage Opera, Santa Monica Symphony, Culver City Symphony, and Orquesta de Baja California (Tijuana, MX). Since moving to Portland, she has subbed with the Oregon Symphony, Portland Columbia Symphony, Vancouver Symphony and Newport Symphony.
Miranda's main teachers include James Thatcher, Kristy Morrell, and Michael Gast. She spends most of her time performing, accompanying, and teaching both piano and horn. In her spare time she enjoys baking and hiking with friends.
